Deborah Gravenstijn
Deborah Gravenstijn , born the August 20th 1974 with Tholen, is a Judo kate Dutchwoman evolving/moving in the catéogire of -57 kg (light weight). It appears rather early on the level junior while becoming champion of Europe and vice-champion of the world in 1992. It is however necessary to await the Euro 1998 of Oviedo for even being reproduced on an international podium. She gains the bronze medal in the category of -57 kg. She repeats the following year while going up on the third walk of the European podium but in the category of -52 kg this time (semi-light weight). In the year 2000, it takes part in the Olympic Games of Sydney but fails the foot of the podium. Vice-champion of Europe in 2001, it fails at the time of the world finale vis-a-vis Yurisleidy Lupetey and thus obtains money the medal, her first world charm. Later, it gains the bronze medal at the time of the world 2003 and takes part the following year in its seconds OJ with Athens. Eliminated by Allemande Yvonne Bönisch in semi-final, it must dispute the combat for the bronze medal against the Frenchwoman Barbara Harel, a match which it gains finally and which enables him to go up on the Olympic podium.
