Deborah (" Debbie") Elizabeth Meyer , born on August 14th, 1952 with Annapolis in the Maryland, is old a American swimmer specialist in the tests in freestyle (of the 200 to the 800 m freestyle). At 16 years, it gains three gold medals at the time of the Olympic Games of 1968 organized with Mexico City becoming the first swimmer to gain three individual crowns during the same Plays.
In 1977, it is honoured by the International Swimming Hall off Famed which names it with the Pantheon of world swimming. Thanks to its Olympic records and its three crowns, it integrates the Olympic Hall off Famed American and is named sporting year in 1969 by the agency Associated Press .
It puts a term at its sporting career of high-level whereas it is only 18 years old. Reconverted since into the world of swimming, Debbie Mayer opened a school of swimming which bears its name to the beginning of the year 1990.
