History
Deathcharge was the person in charge of the safety of Omicron, a colony maximum. It undoubtedly met Optimus Primal at that time. The colony of Omicron was unfortunately massacred pitilessly by the Protoform X, and Deathcharge was the single one surviving. Feeling responsible, it sank in the hatred and the desire of revenge. He managed to capture X and to the others maximals brought back it, demanding that its prisoner is carried out for his atrocious crimes. But it was finally decided that X would be locked up in a capsule and is given up in space. Not admitting this solution, Deathcharge embarked in a vessel and left to the continuation X, in the firm intention to kill it. Its traverses carried out it to the prehistoric Earth, or its vessel was failed in the sea at the time or it changed into transmetal after having crossed the athmosphère. Once under water, it activated its scanner, which touched a line manta and this form animal gave him, thanks to which it left its vessel. It quickly found X, become Rampage, and fought it again, but whereas it was about to kill the warrior prédator, Quickstrique intervened, making it possible Rampage to flee. The maximals recovered then Deathcharge and brought back it to their base, or they looked after it.
Deathcharge showed initially rather cold with respect to the others maximals, estimating that it was of their fault if Rampage were still in life, and it left the base to only continue its hunting. It saved Vélocitor however, then Rattrap de Rampage. A little later it involuntarily ruined the mission of the maximals, which consitait to recover Sentinel (the maximum shield) before the prédators. After that, Optimus managed to convince it that it could not continue to only work, and it agreed to join the others maximals.
Thereafter, Deathcharge will appear an invaluable ally, though rebel. In " Cutting edge" , it arrives at the Arch at the time of a massive attack of the prédators, and all alone pushes back them with him, saving the base. Its disobedience will cause him troubles in " Feral scream" , or it will be attacked then captured by Dinobot Transmétal 2. Nevertheless, there will remain essentially a maximum good.
In " Nemesis 1" , Optimus gives the responsability it, since it is only the maximals able to swim, to go under water to stop Nemesis. Deathcharge, conscious of its responsibility, there went, but ran up against Rampage. Ironically, it voulai not to fight it this time, but was obliged to do it. After a fierce combat, Deathcharge stabbed the vital spark of Rampage with a blade of énergon, but the prédators is seized of him at the last time, and the explosion which followed destroyed them from there both. Optimus and Tigerhawk, which flew over the ocean, could see the pieces of Rampage and Deathcharge to go back partially to surface.
Character
According to Optimus, Deathcharge had another time a character much more pleasant. Unfortunately, since the destruction of Omicron, it became coleric, sinks, rebel aggressive and obsessed by a fixed goal: to kill Rampage, costs which costs. It is also very proud, which explains why it feels so responsible. Nevertheless, it always shows very interdependent with respect to the others maximals: even before joining them, it intervenes if need be to save them. When Optimus tries to convince it to give up its project of revenge, he will answer this counterpart:" It is not the revenge which I seek, it is the Justice ! " - Episode ", Optimal Optimus Deathcharge in Animutants; Deep metal".
Description
In animal mode, Deathcharge is a robot-like line manta with several nuances of blue. It has green eyes surrounded by white, an articulated tail and visible engines in lower part of its body. Several fish, robotics them also, are hung under its belly, and can be detached some to leave as a scout or to launch torpedes, even in animal mode. The fins of the manta can swivel to make it possible Deathcharge to form its fashion conveys: an underwater vehicle cybertronien/jet.In robot mode, the head of manta becomes its chest, from where it can draw from the laser by the mouth. Its fish become guns missile launcher of great power, and its tail a harpoon-javelin. Its wings, although always in its back, do not enable him to steal, but rather to avoid the enemy shootings while making use of it like shield. Its face, of color blue and yellow, never shows what it really feels: it has not mouth (only one kind of chin which slightly stirs up when he speaks), not of nose, and its red eyes are unceasingly wrinkled. One distinguishes sometimes a blinking from the eyes, but if not, the only means of guessing his feelings is his voice.
