Dean Stockwell

Dean Stockwell is an American actor born the March 5th 1936 with Hollywood in California (the United States). It is mainly known French general public for its role of Al in the series Code Quantum .

Biography

Dean Stockwell began its career of actor at the 7 years age. Its beginnings of child star were especially marked by his appearance in the musical comedy Escale with Hollywood (1945) with the sides of Frank Sinatra, by the character of the son of Gregory Peck in the invisible Wall (1947, crowned by a special price with the Golden Globe the following year) and by the first two roles in the Boy with the green hair (1948) and The Secret Garden (1949).

Contrary to much of children stars, Stockwell had a relatively prolific career during its adolescence, playing in particular sides of Errol Flynn in Kim (1950).

Stockwell then appears in films like the Genius of the evil (1959) and Long voyage about the night (1962), which is worth to him two prices of interpretation to the Cannes festival, respectively divided with Bradford Dillman and Orson Welles in 1959 and with Jason Robards and Ralph Richardson in 1962. These years are also remembered by the Fleur of the age (1965), film in which its interpretation of Joseph, an escaped prisoner which falls in love with a girl 15 years, was at the same time admired and discussed.

In 1984, it plays in Paris, Texas of Wim Wenders and in Dune of David Lynch, with which it again works two years later for Blue Velvet . In 1988, its interpretation of Tony " the Tiger" Russo in Widowed but not too… is worth to him a nomination with the Oscar best supporting role.

It connects with what is perhaps its most known role in the world: Albert " Al" Calavicci, the character-hologram of the televised series Code Quantum , for which it accepted a Golden Globe in 1990.
