David Shayler
David Shayler is a former officer of the British Against-espionage (MI5).
According to him, in dissension on an operation of handling, it made defection, in 1998, granting talks to the press, in particular to the Sunday Times. He affirmed that against-espionage was used to supervise politicians (like Jack Straw and Peter Mandelson) and that he handled the Irish Republican Army (WILL GO).
He would have left the MI5 to protest against the financing of a cell of Al-Qaida charged to assassinate the Libyan president, Mouammar Kadhafi.
Continued for disclosure of secrecies of the Crown, he fled in France, where he was stopped and imprisoned on suspicion, then slackened.
He is member of the “conference anti-impérialiste” Axis for Peace
