Biography

It is one of the most effective players in the world in return of service. It indeed often manages to take the ascending one on the second balls of its adversaries. Whereas the majority of the Argentinian players obtain their best results only on beaten Ground, Nalbandian is a general-purpose player and adapts his style of play to all surfaces. The November 20th 2005, it gains the Masters of male tennis with Shanghai by beating Roger Federer. It puts thus fine at a series of 24 consecutive victories of Switzerland in tournaments of ATP Tour. The October 21st 2007, Nalbandian beats again Roger Federer finally, this-time at the Masters Series of Madrid and puts an end to a series of 16 victories of Switzerland in tournaments of ATP Tour. The November 4th 2007, it beats Rafael Nadal finally tournament of Bercy and puts an end to a series of 25 consecutive victories of the Spaniard with Paris.

David Nalbandian was also finalist with Wimbledon (on grass) in 2002, semi-finalist with the US Open (surface lasts) in 2003, with Roland Garros (beaten Ground) in 2004 and 2006 and with the Open of Australia 2006. He belongs to the team of Argentina of Coupe Davis.
