David Levine

David Levine (born the December 20th 1926 with Brooklyn) is a known American draftsman for his caricatures and its portrait-load.

David Levine studies painting at the Pratt institute, Tyler School off Art of Philadelphia, and at Hans Hoffmann. Its first caricatures are published in 1958 by the magazine Esquire. Since it drew more than 2500 caricatures to the ink of politicians, writers and personalities, for the American and international press. By exaggerating the proportion of the head, and reducing the remainder of the body, its style approaches that of Honore Daumier and André Gill.
