David Kandel
David Kandel , born in 1520 and died in 1592, is a German Artiste .
One is unaware of about all the life of David Kandel. The only details on this one indicate that his/her father was a citizen Strasbourg eois, that he Marie in 1554 and that he is owner of a house in 1587.
Its works consist of a great number of engravings on wood representing biblical scenes , portraits and representations of animals. Its Rhinoceros appearing in the Cosmographia of Sebastian Münster, work famous for its charts, remained in the memories for its resemblance to that of Albrecht Dürer. Its most important contribution remains its 550 engravings illustrating the Kreüterbuch Hieronymus Bock (1498-1554).
