David III of Ethiopia
Davit III (born in 1695 and died in 1721) was Négus of Ethiopia under the name of Adbar Sagad Ier of 1716 with 1721.
Wire of Iyasou Ier of Ethiopia, it reaches the throne after the death of the usurper Yostos the February 11th 1716.
It makes build with Gondar the “House of Joy” and persecutes the faction of the Roman catholics. The May 18th 1721, it dies in mysterious circumstances, and several people of its entourage, shown to have poisoned it, are carried out. Its half brother Bacaffa goes up then on the throne to the detriment of their other half-brother Wolde Guiorguis.
