David Gelernter
David Hillel Gelernter (born in 1955) is professor of Informatique to the Université Yale. In the years 1980, it contributes to the parallel Calcul, specifically the model of coordination tuple space, at the base of the development of the programming system Linda. Bill Joy allots to Linda the inspiration of much of element of JavaSpaces and Jini.
It receipt Bachelor off Arts dismantles university Yale in 1976, and that of Ph.D. of the university of State of New York with Stony Brook in 1982.
In 1993, it was seriously wounded by opening a parcel bomb sent by Theodore Kaczynski, which was at this time an adversary not identified but violent one of the technological advancement, called by the press " the Unabomber ." It recovered its wounds, but preserved permanent damage at its right hand and the eye; it made the account of this test in a book of 1997 Drawing Life: Surviving the Unabomber .
