Work
In particular through its first work, Towards a company without State , David Friedman seeks to show not only the desirability, but also the feasibility practical of a company functioning without the least State, definite as agency of a government type profiting from a monopoly of legal violence and sometimes various other exclusive rights. For him, the company based on only voluntary exchanges between free individuals is the only company right which can be. It thus sticks to determine the practical conditions of existence of such a company. It thus defends the privatization of kingly functions like justice, the police force or the currency. It also tackles the question of the public services in an economy libertarienne.
