David Eddings
David Eddings (born the July 7th 1931) is a writer American born has Spokane (close to Seattle in the area of Puget Sound) in the state of Washington.
He wrote many Romance S famous of Fantasy, in the sub-genus of the High fantasy . His wife, Leigh Eddings (Judith Leigh Schall), is Co-autrice not credited with many her novels, and is recognized like such in her most recent works.
Biography
Born in 1931 David Eddings studies with the Everett Junior College of 1950 with 1952, then with the Reed College until 1954 when it obtains a license of Art. He succeeds in avoiding fighting during the Guerre of Korea during his Military service which he carries out in the Artillerie in Germany (1954 - 1956). He obtains thereafter a control of English Littérature with the University off Washington then he off supports his Doctorat in 1961 with the University Washington of Seattle in 1961. He exerted several trade S. Commercial at Boeing, English professor in a Lycée and even salesman in a small grocer. Since 1985, it lives with Carson City with his Leigh wife with whom it is married the October 27th 1962, and which died the February 28th 2007.
Works
Disappointed by the lack of success of his first novels, David Eddings is fascinated by a specimen of the Seigneur of the Rings discovered in a bookstore. He decides to follow the traces of J.R.R. Tolkien and to create his own universe of Fantasy. He thus draws the chart of the world in which will have to be held its first saga: Belgariade . Helped by his wife, it publishes in 1982 the first novel of what was to be only one trilogy: the white pawn of predict . This volume being a success, this saga initial will be made up of five novels.In 1998, David Eddings publishes the Codex of Rivetted , a collection where its working notes and drafts are gathered having helped it with the creation of the universe of the saga entitled the Great Wars of the gods .
In 2003, it launches out in a new cycle of Fantasy, the dreamers .
