David Diop
David Diop (1927 - 1960) is a Poète Senegal board.
Biography
From its complete name David Mandessi Diop , it was born the July 9th 1927. At the 8 years age, his/her father dies and David is high at the sides of his 5 brothers and sisters by his mother Cameroun ease Maria Diop.David saw part of his childhood in the hospitals in France (because of its fragile health) and in particular for the period of occupation and war. He is then discovered a passion for the literature and is not long in writing to express its feelings.
During his studies, David has Léopold Sedar Senghor as professor. After having obtained its license, it leaves for Senegal where it teaches with the college Maurice Delafosse.
Its first poems are published in 1956 in a collection entitled the Blows of rammer .
He dies off the coasts of Senegal in an air crash in 1960.
