Dave Navarro

Dave Navarro (born the June 7th 1967, with Santa Monica, California) is a guitarist who played in the rock groups Jane' S Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Panic Chanel.

Biography

His/her parents James “Mike” Navarro and Constance Hopkins divorce whereas it is only seven years old. His/her mother is assassinated eight years later; the murderer will be stopped only many years later after Dave Navarro passed to the emission of TV America' S Most Wanted , thanks to which it could obtain information on behalf of a televiewer. Navarro has a half-brother and a half-sister who have 27 and 31 years less than him.

He married 3 times and at divorced 3 times. His last wife was Carmen Electra, one of the actresses of the series Alerte in Malibu .

It starts to play of the guitar at the age of 12 years and form its first group South Dakota Railroad . With the college, it founds with Stephen Perkins with the battery and Rico Quevedo with low and with the song the group Dizaztre . It joined the group Jane' S Addiction in 1986, with Perry Farrel in the song, Avery with low and Perkins with the battery. The group reaches success and enters the legend of the alternative rock'n'roll. However, of the tensions between the members of the group involve separation in 1991.

Navarro forms then the group Deconstruction with Avery with low and to the song and Michael Murphy with the battery, the group leaves an album before dissolving. Then, Dave Navarro joined the group Red Hot Chili Peppers with which it misses a guitarist since the departure of John Frusciante during the world tour of the Californian group.

In 1995, Navarro records its single album with Red Hot, One Hot Minute . Whereas many criticisms are not tender with this album after Blood Sugar Sex Magik , the majority of the fans of the group appreciate this album in particular for its technical and sound richness. The album conquers a new public by its accessible character. During this period it is invited with Flea, bass player of Red Hot, to play on the album Jagged Little Pill of Alanis Morissette. Navarro leaves Red Hot in 1998, this one preferring to devote itself to its projects in solo, its album Spread , and not being interested by the idea of enregister a new album and to leave in round with the group, but also because the alchemy of the group did not function as well as before.

In 1997,1999 and 2001, the group Jane' S Addiction is reformed for some spectacles with Flea then Martyn LeNoble replacing Avery with low.

In 1998, Marilyn Manson requires of him to exploit a solo of guitar the song I Don' T Like The Drugs (Goal The Drugs Like Me) which one finds on the album Mechanical Animals .

In 2002, the members of Jane' S Addiction meet again to record a new album studio, it is from now on Chris Chaney the bass player. After the exit in 2003 of the album Strays , the group dissolves once more until the middle of the year 2004, where Navarro then forms a new group called The Panic Chanel with Perkins, Chaney and the singer Steve Isaacs.

Apart from the musical field, Navarro also made two appartitions in films, Floundering in 1994 and Uptown Girls in 2003, as well as a role of " malicious tatoué" in the series TV Martial Law.

Guitars

Dave Navarro always played mainly on guitars with micro double-winding, in particular of the Ibanez, the Paul.

During his passage within the Red Hot Chili Peppers, one will see it much playing on Fender Stratocaster in order to adapt to the sonority of the group.

For a few years, there has remained unconditional of Paul Reed Smith of which he has a model signature.
