Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band (also known under the Acronym DMB ) is an American group of rock'n'roll-folk, originating in Charlottesville in Virginia.

The group is created in 1991 by the singer and guitarist Dave Matthews, the saxophonist Leroi Moore, the bass player Stefan Lessard, the violoncellist Boyd Tinsley, the beater Carter Beauford, and the pianist Peter Griesar (which left the group in 1993). All the members of the group met Dave with Charlottesville. Since 1998, Butch Taylor plays of the keyboard in the majority in the concerts of the group but is not officially a member of the group. The trumpet player Rashawn Ross accompanied them for the round 2005. Beauford, Moore, Tinsley and Taylor are also singers.

History

In March 2007 Dave Matthews accompanied by its assistant Tim REYNOLDS engages an acoustic round in Europe with a passage to the Cicada of Paris. Vis-a-vis the enormous success of this round it decides to return for 4 exceptional concerts with the Group. In May 2007 Band occurs in Lisbon, Brussels, London and Dublin.

The concert of Lisbon remains for the DMB that which marked more this round. More than 18.000 over-excited fans saw the group for the first time and the service of more than 3 hours was one longest of the history of the group!

Today, Dave Matthews Band is very committed in the fight against climate warming with the movement “stand up against the total warming”.
