Dave Balloon

David Alexander " Dave" Balloon (born the August 2nd 1938 with Wakaw city of the Saskatchewan to the Canada - deceased the May 29th 2007 with Prince Albert with the Canada) was a professional player of Hockey. It gained two Coupes Stanley with the Canadian of Montreal in the Années 1960.

Career in club

It begins its career in 1957 with the Mintos from Prince Albert of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League before becoming professional in 1958. It signs then with the Rangers of New York of the National league of hockey and joined the affiliated team of the Western Hockey League of the Canucks of Vancouver then the Quakers of Saskatoon. In 1958, he plays the matches of the Coupe Memorial, lost, with the Pats of Regina.

He plays his first matches in the LNH in 1959 but it is necessary to await 1962 to see it to really impose itself within the manpower of the frankness from Rangers.

During the season 1963-64, it belongs to the exchange between Rangers and Canadian of Montreal which implies it with Gump Worsley, Leon Rochefort and Len Ronson in return of Phil Goyette, Don Marshall and Jacques Plante.

In 1973, it takes its retirement after 9 matches of the season in the Worldwide association of hockey. It then carries the shirt of the Nordiques of Quebec. It will take all the same the post of trainer of the Broncos de Humboldt of the league of Saskatchewan in 1976 but leaves the station in 1980.

He dies in 2007 at the 68 years age of the continuations of the multiple sclerosis.
