Davar
Davar (in Hebrew: דבר, which means “word”) was a Quotidien in Hebrew of the left Zionist published in Israel between 1925 and 1994.
Davar is founded by Berl Katznelson (1884 - 1944), its editor association and principal inspiring until his death in 1944. Berl Katznelson is then replaced by Zalman Shazar, which was to become later president of the State of Israel, and which takes up the duty of editor association until in 1949.
Davar was published by the trade union of workers Histadrout and politically aligned on the line of this one. It was close to the Workers party.
Abba Ahiméir, Moshe Sharett, Uri Zvi Greenberg, Aharon Megged, were some of the regular contributors of the newspaper. Davar had a literary supplement, Massa .
