Dauphine door (subway of Paris)

Dauphine Porte (Marshal of Lattre de Tassigny) is a station of the Métro of Paris, located at the Western end of the line 2, in the 16 {{E}} district of Paris.

The station

This station was inaugurated the December 13rd 1900. Line 2 did not go whereas to the station Star, now Charles de Gaulle - Star.

The station serves in particular prestigious the Université Paris-Dauphine, created in 1968. Dauphine Porte also famous for one of its entries is created by Hector Guimard (that giving on the Place of the Generals of Trentinian - even side of the Avenue Foch ).

It should be noted that the station Carries Dauphine is one of to have preserved last:

  • its configuration of origin " in raquette" , namely two divergent half-stations, framing a very tight loop of reversal, thirty meters ray only,

  • its decoration of origin, in flat squares of cream-coloured color: it belongs to the experimental decorations tested in 1900, before is not retained, thereafter, celebrates it bevelled white square.
