Data-processing language

One calls data-processing language all formal Language used with an unspecified title in the definition or the operation of a Information system. The term however is used in certain contexts in the more restrictive direction of Computer programming language.

The data-processing languages are in general classified according to their type of use. The following list is not exhaustive.

Computer programming languages to write programs and software.
graphic Languages for the design like UML
Languages of beaconing for the presentation or the structuring of contents, like HTML or XML
Languages for the Specification or the formal methods
Languages describing the syntactic rules of other languages, like the notation BNF
Query languages like SQL or SPARQL
