Dassault Communication

Dassault Communication is an press group. It controlled at 100% the group Valmonde (Current values…) until 2006 when it of with sold 66,6% with Southern Communication. Since September 2006, it controls to 100% the Socpresse, which publishes Le Figaro. Serge Dassault was named president of Socpresse the July 8th 2004.

When Serge Dassault with asset Socpresse it was not solely with a one financial aim but also with an ideological aim since according to him " the press must diffuse ideas saines" worrying formula as for the freedom of tone of a press having such a goal, it will explain thereafter why " for example the left-wing ideas are ideas not healthy, today one is bursting has causes of the left-wing ideas which continuent" and that " the French press is old-fashioned and is not adapted any more to the lecteur".

However, although it has one of the three French big national dailies, the Barber, it cannot express himself there as freely as it would wish since Nicolas Beytout (the director of the drafting) currently does not intend to let his shareholders write the newspaper as it clearly announced at the time of his arrival to the head of the drafting, in October 2004.
