Darrous

Darrous is a district of Gheytarieh, in the north of Teheran, Iran. He is regarded as one of the richest sectors of the city, where reside of the modern families. Darrous is bordered by the districts of Pasdaran, Gholhak, Doulat, and Ekhtiyarieh.

Haj Mokhber ol Saltaneh Hedayat, a Aristocrat re-elected of the last period Qajar, was the principal landowner; grounds which consisted then of large gardens and farms of the sector until 1950. Hedayat was used to several times like Prime Minister during the reign as Reza Shah Pahlavi. Its heritage survives in the district in the shape of a mosque, a medical private clinic, and a school, all named Hedayat and located on the Street Hedayat.
