Daron Malakian

Daron Malakian (born the July 18th 1975) with Hollywood, is a Heavy-Metal guitarist. Considered for its energetic fronts, Malakian is the founder and the guitarist of the arméno-American formation System off has Down. He is also the author of most of the parts of the formation, ensures certain basic parts in studio (on Mezmerize and Hypnotize ) and is also singer (with Serj Tankian).

Malakian is Co-producer (with Rick Rubin) of the albums of his group System Of has so producing Down but of The Ambulance and Bad Acid Trip, two groups producing under the label Serjical Strike (of his/her friend Serj Tankian). Recently, Malakian directs the label EatUrMusic.

Following the exit of the albums Mezmerize and Hypnotize of System off Down has, in which it was invested much, Malakian now directs its career towards the exit of a project solo ( Scars one Broadway ) centered in particular on the Electronic music, while remaining active within the group.

Equipment

Malakian has an arsenal very varied of Guitare S, low keyboards and . Guitar with 12 cords (used in particular on Chop Suey ) with several models of electric guitars, the albums of System off has Down abound in nuances wished by the guitarist.

It is however its material of scene which is most popular and more blazing. Whereas it used especially guitars baritones Ibanez Iceman IC400 (model custom , sometimes decorated with paintings with his/her father, Vartan Malakian) granted in Dropped C (C - G - C - F - has - D) before the exit of the albums Hypnotize and Mezmerize , it employs today practically only Gibson SG of red or white color. It uses also amplifiers of mark Marshall, has its own play of Mediator S Jim Dunlop Delrin 2.0mm and plays on cords Ernie Ball Slinky Top Heavy Bottom .

Daron also plays of the battery, instrument which he wanted to practice in his youth before his/her parents do not offer an electric guitar to him.
