Darkwave
The Darkwave , also spelled Dark Wave , is a Musical genre resulting from the movement New wave, often related with the Gothic Mouvement which emerged in Europe at the end of the Années 1970 and at the beginning of the Années 1980. It is a kind of “rebirth” for the movement which was blown seriously following the lack of renewal or with the splits artists Cold-Wave and Post-Punk, major kinds of the Gothic movement during the Eighties.
The emblematic figure of Darkwave is probably the group Das Ich. Morbid symbolic system, satanic and industrial references, universe twisted and macabre… the group symbolizes the réinvention of a Gothic culture which awaited only one true revolution. The Neo-romantic side, the mixture of symphonic electronics and samples on bottom of rhythmic undue money devote Das Ich like the instigator of DarkWave. Ambivalent, the term can include many kinds, but the qualified groups of Darkwave are often German.
Other groups recognized as being Darkwave mobility: Diary Off Dreams, Deine Lakaien, the Immortal Heart (beginning), Lacrimosa (beginning)…
