Darkseid

Darkseid is an Super-unpleasant of Cartoon belonging to the universe cd.. It was created by Jack Kirby, originally like element of the series of comics of the Fourth World (The Fourth World) to beginning of the year 70. Heggra, it, was assassinated by his/her own Uxas son who took the name of Darkseid consequently. Drax, joined to him New Genesis under the name of Infinity .

The war which burst between rival planets was most fatal that the universe knew. To put an end to it, Highfather, the sovereign of New Genesis and Darkseid exchanged their sons newborns. Highfather received Orion and small Scott Free was given to Darkseid. The exchange turned to the disadvantage of Darkseid, his/her biological son growing to defend violently the ideals of New Genesis contrary to Scott Free which refused to be corrupted by the ill treatments of Apokolips and which escaped finally from the sides from the former leader from the Female Furies (the Insane Furious ones), Big Barda, towards the Ground to become the superman artist of the escape, Mister Miracle.

The double goal of Darkseid from now on: the destruction of New Genesis and destruction of the universe then its rebuilding according to its desires. In order to achieve its goals, Darkseid seeks mysterious the equation of the anti-life which only will enable him to carry out its dreams of universal domination.

Personality of Darkseid

Darkseid incarnates the absolute evil. Its ultimate goal is not the control of the universe, but its destruction and its rebuilding according to its own desires. For this purpose, he seeks to discover mysterious the equation of the anti-life . He carries an private interest to the Earth because the human ones collectively have in their spirits a great part, if not totality, fragments of the equation of the anti-life . Destiny

Darkseid, in spite of its incredible power, cannot escape its final destiny. It is written that the lord of Apokolips would be overcome by his Orion son during a cataclysmic battle in the middle same of infernal planet.

Remarks

Orion, the son of Darkseid, inherited the same rage that his/her father, but it does not manage to control it, relying on its Mother box (box mother) to moderate its emotions.

Although Darkseid was often described like an almost invincible and omnipotent adversary, its recent appearances highlighted that its capacities had been re-examined with the fall bringing it closer to its animated version. On several occasions, the Omega Effect is thwarted by the calorific vision of Superman what did not seem possible before. Indeed, during its first appearances in the Comics, its rays could easily kill Superman of only one blow.

Darkseid appeared in the last versions of the animated series The Super Friends . It is also present in the series animated produced by Warner Brothers Television and supervised by Bruce Timm. It is doubled there by Michael Ironside. This one takes again its role of Darkseid in Justice League where Darkseid makes team with Brainiac to destroy League Justice. Orion fought with him and Superman corrected it and destroyed its Boom Tubes in which the base asteroid of Brainiac exploded. The fate of Darkseid is unknown but in Justice League Unlimited , a civil war bursts on Apokolips between Granny Goodness and Vermin Vundebarr. It reappears at the time of the final episode of Justice League Unlimited , brought back involuntarily to the life by Lex Luthor, that initially wishing to reconstitute Brainiac.
