Daran is a Chanteur, type-setter-interprets French, born the April 4th 1959.

Biography

Daran, it is the tube " To sleep dehors" in 1995, but not only. Daran they is five albums to date, all different from/to each other. A first opus realized by Antoine Essertier, in 1992, pure do-it-yourselfing. A signature in a major (WEA Music) via his artistic director Philippe Poustis. Influences rock'n'roll/blues. A second album which propels it on the front of the scene in 1995. It is then a musical UFO in 1997, " Déménagé" , Co-realized by Yarol Poupaud (ex- FF), album become worship for the fans and still in advance over its time eight years after its publication. In 2000, a return to acoustics with " Augustin & Anita" , album recorded in an old cinema, the conditions of the live one. It is with the listening of this album that Florent Pagny discovers " the eau" and asks Daran to record it in duet.

In 2003 leaves " Fisherman of pierres" , an album writes mainly by Pierre-Yves Lebert, one of his/her old friends. A first for Daran which up to now had composed only on texts of Alana Filippi.

On scene, the group evolved/moved during the years to find a formation current made up of Sylvain Joasson with the battery, Erik Fostinelli with low, Franck Terranova with the keyboards, Stephan Terranova with the guitar and of course Daran.

2004 mark also a new relation between Daran and its fans. Active actor in the organization of the " Daran Awards" , contest of recovery organized on the initiative of a fan of the fandaran.com site. It follows with attention all the organization and invites the two prizes winner to play their recovery at the time of the Parisian dates of the round, with European. October 16th of the same year, it offers to the fans of the forum of this same site an acoustic private concert, in the bar which accommodated its first concerts, and includes the entirety of the first album " I avoid the soleil".

2006, as for it, mark the year of the contributions. One finds it as a type-setter and realizer on many projects: Johnny Hallyday, Florent Pagny, Maurane and Michel Sardou.

The new album, “the small people of the bitumen”, left on January 29th, 2007, goes once again against the current current. A concept close to those of the Seventies, album made up a such single title 55 minutes. Majestic environments and interminable solos. It is on, Daran was high with the Pink Floyd and other groups of this period when nothing pre-was formatted. With the texts, one finds there Pierre-Yves Lebert, Christophe Miossec and Didier Balducci.
