Dantrolene

The dantrolene is a Myorelaxant of which the use first is the treatment of the muscular Spasticité (for example in the continuations of a Cerebral vascular accident, at the paraplegic , the cerebral physically handicapped person and the patients reached of Multiple sclerosis). It proved to be the only curative treatment of the malignant Hyperthermie and it is also used in the malignant Syndrome of the nerve sedatives. It is marketed under the name of Dantrium ®.

The dantrolene acts by inhibiting the release of Calcium by the Réticulum sarcoplasmic of the striated muscular cells.
