Danilovgrad
Danilovgrad (Даниловград) is a city of the central area of the Montenegro, located in the plain of Bjelopavlići.
The city was named in the honor of Danilo I, prince of Montenegro and founder of the city. He wanted to make of it the future capital of the kingdom, worthy of the European cities. It is however its successor Nicolas Ier who posed the first stone in 1870. However, with the release of the towns of Podgorica and Nikšić, the city known step the privilege to accommodate the throne.
In the area of the commune, one finds several monuments cultural and historical of which most important is the monastery of Zdrebaonik dating from the 18th century.
