Danielle Moonstar

Danielle Moonstar , also known under the name of Mirage or of Psyche , is a character of the Univers Marvel. She was created by Chris Claremont. She appeared for the first time in Marvel Graphic Novel #4 (1982), created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod.

Biography

Dani was born in Boulder, in Colorado. Its capacities appeared for the first time by abominable nightmares in which she saw her parents being made kill by a bear. Little time after his/her parents disappeared and it believed them dead. His/her large father contacted the Professor Xavier so that it helps it to control its capacities, Donald Pierce killed his large father then and thus Dani left for the institute Xavier and became member of the Nouveaux Mutants under the name of Psyche .

Within the new mutants , its capacities developed, it could make its illusions tangible, it took then code name Mirage . It found also her parents, who had not died but had not changed into Bear, and returned their true appearance to them.

When with the Nouveaux Mutants it was brought on Asgard, it was selected to be a Valkyrie what brought new capacities to him: as to feel which it dead was going to carry. It left the Nouveaux Mutants and left to live on Asgard .

Well later, of return to earth as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., it integrated the mutant Front of release, a team of terrorist mutants, for espionner their chief: Reignfire . Its capacities still developed and it was from now on able to draw from the arrows of psionic energy.

Its finished mission, it integrates X-Force and during one their adventures, it will be confronted with Arcadia which parcelled out Dani in several version of itself laying out each one of different capacities. After having overcome Arcadia, Dani lost many of its capacities. It became thereafter member reservist of X-men for very little time and resumed its studies. It turned over food to Boulder until the day when it assisted from a mutant young person: Sofia Mantega alias Trade wind, jettée in prison after having ransacked the store of his/her father.

Dani took along to the institute Xavier the young girl and consequently occasion was seen to offer by the professor Xavier a post of teacher, whom it accepted in spite of some reserves. It will find there its assistants from the new mutants: Félina, Magma, Karma and Rocket.

It bound with a group of students and became the legal guardian of the one of them: Josh Foley alias Elixir.

After the rebuilding of the school destroyed by Magneto, she lives herself to allot a group of students or " squad" that it calls the Nouveaux Mutants , in remembering the team of its youth. This team contains inter alia Alizé and Elixir .

In parallel, it also started a relation with the agent of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Justin Pierce, the nephew of the murderer of his large father: Donald pierce … Following the day M, it lost all its capacities and left the institute to the great displeasure of its team and pupil.

Capacities

Moonstar is able to create illusions. She shows in general with her targets their major fear and their most expensive desires. She could formerly make her illusions tangible, carrying out the wishes of others, but she lost this faculty.
It can have a telepathic bond with the animals: what time of the New Mutants had returned it very near to Rhane Sinclair, Wolfsbane, lycanthrope.
It was also able to send arrows of psionic energy.
Its capacities of Valkyrie enabled him to feel death.
