It took part in a short but notable way in the group Punk The Lemon Kittens, for the album éponyme of the League off Gentlemen in 1981, with vocal (credited like " Hamsprachtmusic") on the song " Minor Man". This says this song was not included with the version CD of the album, under the title God save the King , but its artwork was kept for the small pocket.Dax left Lemon Kittens and started a career solo, recording and producing the albums Pop-Eyes (1982), Jesus Egg That Wept (1984), and Inky Bloaters (1987) on its own label, Awesome Records. In 1988 it signed with Lord Records, which left its double album Dark Adapted Eye , containing material resulting from former recordings, like the famous song " Big Hollow Man" , and of new new recordings like " Cat-House" , " White Knuckle Ride" , " When I Was Young" , " Cat" house; , " Whistling for His Love", and " Touch Piggy' S Eyes".
In 1984 it made its only cinematographic appearance to date, as a " woman-loup" (role in addition dumb) in the Company of the wolves of Neil Jordan. In 1988, it signed the music of short-measuring avant-gardist Axel of Nigel Wingrove [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0237015/].
In 1991 Danielle appeared in the show Star Test, on Chanel 4, where she was interviewed during 30 minutes by a computer, with questions like " If you meet God, which question would pose to him you? " , it what Danuelle answered " Why sympas people do not have as much success than the jerks? " , an answer referring to its lack of true success in music industry.
In 1990 it left what was to be its only album on a major, Blast the Human Flower , produced by Stephen Street, except for the pieces " Bayou" and " Daisy" , that they produced together. Its last two discs left in 1995 and consisted of an double-album retrospective entitled Comatose Non Reaction: The Thwarted Pop Career off Danielle Dax , and a EP of a music avant-gardist and almost completely instrumental called Timber Tongue . The musical career of Dax then made an indefinite pause, often considered as a retirement.
Since 1996, it works like interior designer, and is apperue several times at BBC in the show Homefront .
According to its official page on MySpace (held by his/her old friend and ex-musician Karl Blake), it ensured several performances of spoken words drawn from its old pieces, in Great Britain and Europe, and one speaks about new pieces in the course of writing. Its first three albums one republished on CD by its own label, To fuck Thorpe off, and distributed by World Snake).
The visual work of Dax includes the original artwork of its album Pop-Eyes . It made withdrawn of the album after its first edition, after certain record dealers qualified it " grotesque". The artwork of substitution (for which that of Dax replaced its turn for the republication CD) was carried out by Holly Warburton, which thereafter créea small pockets of the following albums of Dax, The Jesus Egg That Wept , Inky Bloaters and Dark Adapted Eye .
