Its works

At the time of the homage paid to his friend Daniel of Janerand, by the National company of Beautiful arts, the painter Maurice Boitel wrote:

" I cannot, without a great emotion, to re-examine the fabrics painted in other periods that our friend had hung in his workshop, like the great composition representing a Spanish cart, or happiness (1955), his Philippe son, child, holding his bicycle, Gilles, his second wire, supported on the wall, or this so beautiful Breton port of matter and luminosity, and this admirable naked sitted…

Daniel of Janerand left several unfinished fabrics including one on its rest: ultimate testimony; until the last day it painted, going more and more towards a great sobriety of expression, more and more with the essence of what it felt deeply; its admirable pastels drawn on nature are always there to testify to the strength of its inspiration spontaneous and magnifiée then on the fabric; these completed works transmit an optimism to us that often I admired; optimism which it preserved even in its tests of health; its dynamism, its hope, helped by its great talent, involved towards an always better world; a paradisiac light illuminates the spectator.

Daniel of Janerand, in his conversations on our art, our life, was always lenient for the others, like largest. Formerly, a long time ago, we were going to paint together in Brie. I still see it in front of his rest. These old memories remain engraved in my being, these memories which I evoke still today, among that which was for us all, a large friend, a true painter.
