Daniel Zueras

Daniel Zueras Herreros (born with Saragossa the November 13rd 1980) is a Spanish Chanteur of Pop and Dance. Its music is a mixture of Pop/Dance and R&B, with influences of the electronic music of the the Eighties. It took part in the musical contest of Telecinco Star Academy 2006, taking down the second position, behind Lorena Gómez.

Biography

Born with Saragossa on November 13rd, 1980, he is the son of a sales representative and a cooker. He studied the musical theory and the piano. Before entering to the Star Academy he worked like boy the weekends in a cinema, but he always wanted to be a singer, just like his idol Mariah Carey. In 2006, and thanks to the televised contest, its occasion arrived.

Star Academy

In 2006, Daniel presented itself to castings of Barcelona, where it was selected, and finished among the 20 finalists of Official reception 0 of Star Academy with Jesús Vázquez.

Since the beginning of the contest, Daniel was characterized within the Academy by the soft voice with which he interpreted in particular songs Pop and Mélodiques as Otra vez of Coti with Paulina Rubio, Unchained Melody of the Righteous Brothers, Last Christmas of George Michael, Blue Velvet of Bobby Vinton, or Me & Mrs Jones of Billy Paul.

Daniel reached the second position, in front of Leo and very little behind Lorena Gómez, which gained the first position.

Siempre salts el ground

After having spent several months between Rome and Madrid to prepare its first album, at the same time as it gave concerts of the tower of the Star Academy, it left the April 23rd 2007 its first album original, Siempre salts el ground . It contains songs Pop, Dance and R&B.

The first individual one of the album, No quiero enamorarme , had left one week before (the April 16th). Since, its video clip had much repercussion among the public, especially because of scenes with sexual character (a trio between Daniel, a girl and a boy). According to Daniel, this clip had as a function to finish some with the image of innocent boy that its course with the televised contest had created. On Youtube, this video clip had more than 628.080 visits in 7 months, and raised many comments, the majority positive.

During its first 5 months, it was sold 25.000 copies of Siempre Sale El Sol , which was placed in 31ème position of the list of Spanish sales. It is a good start for this artist who has just started in the musical medium.

Daniel received the price of the " Artist Revelation of the year 2007" , granted by the Vocento group, its musical trajectory.
