Daniel Widlöcher

Daniel Widlöcher is professor of psychiatry and is Psychanalyste.

Biography

Daniel Widlöcher is psychiatrist, doctor in psychology and psychoanalyst. He carried out at least two careers: hospital and university, without speaking about its researcher activity and his untiring engagement in the psychoanalytical institutions; he was elected president of the International Psychoanalytical Association in 2001. Of 1953 with 1962, it is analyzed by Jacques Lacan; it rejects of them the technical variations characteristic of this analyst. Alain Braconnier written in his biography devoted to D. Widlöcher, " that its life is identified with the psychoanalysis such as it likes to define it: as much a cultural practice that a therapeutic practice, it does not give a truth, it opens a voie". The biographer adds that Daniel Widlöcher " begins again in that, the point of view of Daniel Lagache whose it underlines the important influence that this psychoanalyst, professor of psychology, had on lui."

In 1964, it joined the Psychoanalytical Association of France, within which it will occupy various functions.
