Daniel Sibony

Daniel Sibony is a writer and psychoanalyst French, author of about thirty books.

Biography

Born on August 22nd, 1942 in Marrakech, in an Jewish family living Médina. Its native tongue: Arabic; its cultural language: biblical Hebrew; at the 5 years age it starts to learn French. He emigrates in Paris at the age 13 years. Studies of mathematics: license then doctorate of State. He is assistant in mathematics at the University of Paris at age the 21 years, then lecturer at 25 years in June 1967. He becomes professor at this University until 2000, animating there, in addition to his courses, all kinds of seminars and original experiments.

Meanwhile, studies of philosophy, license, then doctorate of State in 1985 (with, inter alia, with the jury: E. Levinas, JT Desanti, H. Atlan, Michel de Certeau).

He becomes psychoanalyst at 32 years after a formation with Lacan and his school,

Collaboration with Lacan was very personal: Lacan assisted several years with the seminar of D. Sibony with Vincennes on " Topology and interpretation of the rêves": " This exchange enabled me not to be neither lacanien, nor antilacanien but to integrate best lacanism: reading of Freud and to move away me from worst: the language of the sectes" , known as Sibony.

Since 1974 Daniel Sibony gives to Paris a ''' independent seminar ''' devoted to the therapeutic questions and to the creative practices and symbolic systems in their report/ratio with the unconscious one.
