Daniel Francis Galouye (1920 - 1976) is an American writer of Science-fiction.
Daniel Francis Galouye with was born with the New-Orleans the February 11th 1920 and died the September 7th 1976 at the same place. Galouye was pilot US Navy during the Second world war between 1942 and 1946. It followed studies to the Air and sea School of Pensacola, left with the rank lieutenant and began a career to defer, then as editor of 1956 with 1967, time to which its fragile health the constrained one to cease its community activities. Its health condition did not cease being degraded until its death at the 56 years age.
Just like its contemporary Alfred Bester, Daniel Francis Galouye published a relatively restricted number of novels with success without never embracing the career of writer directly. If it had lived with New York City which was at that time the convergence point of the publications related to the Science-fiction, its career would have perhaps taken another turning.
Daniel Francis Galouye wrote various news for magazines between the years 1950 and 1960. He is also the author of noticed novels as Simulacron 3 which was adapted in several episodes for German televised series in 1973 entitled Welt amndt Draht , realized by Rainer Fassbinder, and carried to the screen in 1999 under the title virtual Passé ( The Thirteenth Floor ).
