Dani Rodrik

Dani Rodrik (born in 1957 with Istanbul) is professor of political economy international with the John F. Kennedy School off Government of the Université Harvard. It is an author recognized in international economy, economy of the development like in political economy. Its research concentrates around the problems of growth, in particular why certain types of governments and certain government policies succeed better than of others. It is one of the principal academic opponents to the thesis according to which the Libre-échange is a big factor of growth.

Rodrik is affiliated with the National Office off Economic Research, the Center for Economic Policy Research (with London), the Center for Global Development, the Institute for International Economics, and the Conseil of the foreign relations (CFR). It belongs to the scientific advice of the École of saving in Paris. He is deputy manager of the Review off Economics and Statistics. Among its rewards, it received the “Léontieff price for the advance of the limits of the economic thinking” in 2002.
