Dani Karavan

Dani Karavan is an artist Plasticien and Sculpteur born in 1930 with Tel-Aviv.

Biography

It makes its studies at the School of the Art schools with Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, then with the Academy of Beautiful Arte of Florence, and with the Académie of the Large Thatched cottage to Paris. It represents Israel with Biennial Venice in 1976; it is present at Documenta 6 of Kassel in 1977. He is in particular professor invited to the School of the Art schools of Paris in 1984. He received in 1998 Praemium Imperiale with the Japan (equivalent of the Nobel Prize for Arts).

Works

Famous, its monumental achievements want to be more one invitation with the voyage which a realization that one observes: the visitor is invited to move within the formed complex. One also notes that it often uses raw material materials, such as the Eau, the Sable, the Béton, the Acier… or even the wind. Here some of its works:
