Danehill

Danehill (1986-2003) was a racehorse and a standard English Pur-sang born with the the United States of the union of Danzig and Razyana (by His Majesty). During its career of races, it belonged to its stockbreeder, the prince Khalid Abdullah.

Career of races

Danehill , if it were one of all the best elements of its generation, will not remain in the memories like a champion out of the commun run. Very regular, it made nine appearances in races, which showed four victories and four certificates of merit. With its prize list, it hangs the third place of the 2000 Guineas of Nashwan, before being directed with happiness on the short distances. It endorses two Groupe 1, the Golden Jubilee Stakes and the Haydock Park Sprint Cup.

With the stud farm

Entered with the stud farm in 1990, Danehill is affirmed there like the best continuator of Danzig. Sold with the Australian stud farm Arrowfield Stud and with the Irish consortium Coolmore (which in the long term will be the single owner), it is quickly exploited like standard in the two hemispheres, making the shuttle between Ireland and Australia, so that the number of its products having run practically reached the astronomical figure of 2000. Among them, 332 " stakes winners" (winner of important races), absolute records in this field.
