Dampierre-in-Burly

Dampierre-in-Burly is a common French located in the department of the Loiret and the area Center. The inhabitants are called Dampierrois (be) .

Dampierre-in-Burly, like all the communes of the Canton of the Ouzouer-on-Loire, was attached to old the Arrondissement of Gien, removed in 1926 during the recutting of the districts and ever reconstituted.

Geography

The village is located on the the Loire between the Châteauneuf-on-Loire and Gien. Burly is the name of the stronghold which surrounded the seigniory of Dampierre.

Dampierre-in-Burly is located between the Loire and the Forêt of Orleans. One finds not far the the Sologne and the Berry.
