Political tradition

To the last presidential election of May 2007, Dammarie offers a vast majority to the candidate of the UMP which adds up 61,36% of the voices compared with 38,64% of the voices to its socialist rival. With the referendum on the European constitution, 57,06% of the dammarois reject the Treaty. Lastly, with the presidential election of May 2002, Dammarie votes to 80,07% for Jacques Chirac compared with 19,93% of the voices granted to Jean-Marie Le Pen.
