Dallas Center Convention
The Dallas Convention Center (in the past the Dallas Memorial Auditorium ) is a center of convention, a municipal center and a hall of meeting located beside the Reunion Arena in the Convention Center District of the downtown area of Dallas at the Texas.
The complex covers more than 186.000 m ² and has a surface of total exposure of 93.000 m ². The largest contiguous park of exposures in the structure is of 67.515 m ². A hall of exposures without columns of 19.000 m ² to the center is largest of its category to the the United States. Moreover, the center of convention of Dallas offers devices much larger, like an arena of 9.816 seats, a theater of a capacity of 1.740 people and 105 meeting rooms. There are even 2 ballrooms, and largest Hélisurface of the world.
History
The Dallas Memorial Auditorium was inaugurated in 1957 on the intersection of Canton and Akard Streets. In the years 1970, the Dallas Memorial Auditorium was increased and became the Dallas Convention Center . Consequences of the enlarging and expensions of 1984, 1994 and 2002, created a modern complex containing more than 185.000 square meters of surface with the access to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit and largest the Hélisurface of the world.
