Dakota Building
The Dakota Building ( The Dakota ), is a building of New York builds between the October 25th 1880 and the October 27th 1884. It is located at the north-western corner of the 72e street and Central Park West with Manhattan. It was drawn by the architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, who also carried out the Plaza Hotel, for the account of Edward Clark, the leader of Singer Corporation. It is known to have been the residence of John Lennon and the place where it was assassinated.

This building is used in the film Vanilla Sky , with the whole beginning of film, as place where David Aames saw, the heir.
