Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki (October 18th 1870, Kanazawa, Japan - July 22nd 1966; standard transliteration: Suzuki Daisetsu , 鈴木大拙) is an author recognized of books and tests on the Bouddhisme and the Zen which played a big role in the interest carried to Zen to Occident. He was a friend of the philosopher Kitarō Nishida, considered as the first original modern philosopher of Japan.
