A dagger is a short Knife (on average 20 centimetres) with double edge, used in particular as arms with jet.
A long dagger is a Dague.
A dagger with triangular blade very fine, designed to produce wounds very deep and thus difficult to cure, is a stylet . It appeared in Europe at the 13th century and is called tucks in English.
