Daffy Duck

Belonging to the big family of Toons, characters of American cartoons produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, Daffy Duck is a Canard black, very nervous, coleric and egoistic (although at its beginnings, it was represented more like an insane duck jumping suddenly everywhere in a hysterical way). It made its beginnings in the short film " Porky' S Duck Hunt" (1937) of Tex Avery. Equipped with a large orange nozzle and broad webbed feet, it prevailed in 126 cartoons until 1964, before disappearing completely from the screens during more than 33 years. It made its great return in The Duxorcist (1987). In the beginning, it was the actor Hugh Herbert who lent his voice to him before being doubled by White Mel. In French it is Pierre Trabaud which interpreted it. Following the example Donald Duck, it is because of all its defects that the public dedicates an undeniable tenderness to him. Borrowing the disguise of famous characters sometimes (Robin of Wood, Buck Rodgers), Daffy Duck springs in adventures which exceed it completely, which is worth cruel disappointments to him. Good friend of pig Porky Pig (no matter what this last would occur from there well sometimes), he is the declared rival of Bugs Bunny of which he is deeply jealous.

Its sentence fetish is " You are méprisable".

Innocent coincidence or deliberated wink, the name " Daffy Duck" is a Contrepèterie.

One of its disguises gave the character Duck Dodgers, a captain of spaceship, accompanied by the junior (Porky), and combatant inlassablement Marvin the Martian. Recently, an animated series took for hero Duck Dodgers.
