Daba Diawara is a politician Malian, born the August 15th 1951 with Bamako (Mali).

Daba Diawara, born in Bamako in 1951 is the son of Gabou Diawara, political companion of the first president Modibo Keïta and former minister. It followed higher learning in public law to Dakar (Senegal) and to Paris where it obtains a doctorate of State in public law in 1987 to the university of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne.

After its studies, he is civil administrator in the public office. From October 1988 in January 1991, it occupies the functions of general secretary of the government.

After the fall of the mode of Traoré Foamed, it is named on April 5th 1991 Minister for the public office and work in the democratic transition government. In June 1992, it becomes again general secretary of the government.

Daba Diawara is expert in the center of analysis and formulation of development policies (CAFPD)

Daba Diawara militated within the Union African democratic Sudanese woman-Gathering (US-RDA). In 1996, he is elected political secretary of the national political office. In 1998, the US-RDA tears between two fractions.

In September 2001, it founds the Parti independence, the democracy and solidarity (PIDS). Invested by this new party with the presidential election of 2002, it obtains 1,1% of the voices to the first turn.
