DaN Voiculescu

daN Voiculescu (born the September 25th 1946) is a politician and Rumanian businessman . It forms part with its family, of 10 larger Rumanian fortunes with a fortune estimated at more than 400 million dollars. He is the founder and the president of the Parti humanistic Rumanian, now called Conservative party (PURE). He has also, but officially bequeathed to his daughter, the group of media Intact , including/understanding several newspapers of which Jurnalul Naţional and Gazeta Sporturilor and of the television channels Antena 1, Antena 2, Antena 3 and Antena 4.

Polemics

  • daN Voiculescu admitted having been corresponding of the Securitate, the Rumanian secret police of the communist period, but only for economic espionage. Tom Gallagher, of the university of Bradford which wrote many books and articles on Romania, indicated in 2004 qu ' it is well documented that Voiculescu was not a simple adviser of Securitate but had the row of general of it before the Rumanian Révolution of 1989.
  • Voiculescu and its family are the object into 2007 of an investigation of DNA, the national Department anti-corruption of Romania. Tom Gallagher indicated in January 2005, which “Voicuslescu is a potentially important problem if the government decides to present a law to call in question the acquired rights at the time of the debatable sale of public credits.” G
