DaN Majerle
Daniel Lewis Majerle , born the September 9th 1965 in Traverse City (Michigan) is a former player of American Basket-ball.
Biography
Called by its fans “Thunder daN” or “daN the Man”, he played 14 years in NBA, mainly with the Phoenix Suns but also with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers. During its career, it took part three times in the All Star Range by having the characteristic to be named once titular for this match whereas it was not to it this year in his team. He was also member of the American team which dominated the championships of the world in 1994 and gained the bronze medal with the Olympic Games of Seoul in 1988 with the last selection including/understanding exclusively American university players.
Majerle was drafté in 14th position of the draft in 1988. Its nickname is related to the thundering Dunks which it carried out at the beginning of its career but with the age its style of play changed into that of shooter external and of specialist in defense. During the years 1990 it was thus the principal weapon of Suns for the shootings at three points and with each time it marked a preceded residence basket, a clap of thunder was played by the sound system of the room.
If it did not gain of title NBA in spite of a final into 1993 at the sides in particular of Charles Barkley and Kevin Johnson, it had the honor to see its withdrawn shirt, plus no player can carry his number within Suns.
