DZ Bank
DZ Bank AG is a German bank whose seat is located at Frankfurt amndt Hand and who gathers nearly 1.200 of the 1.400 banks mutualists of Germany.
Profile of the company
The DZ Bank is owner of the Volksbanken and the Raiffeisenbanken, as well as PSD-Banken and the Sparda-Banken. It thus forms the sixth plus large bank of Germany.It describes itself like a " bank centrale" , which however contradicts the usual definition of a central bank as banks national transmitting of tickets, but corresponds historically to the function of the case Prussian central mutualist. Its principal task is to support the activity of its subsidiary companies by developing itself of the products which make it possible the small banks mutualists to propose with their customers a varied offer. Until August 2006, the Norisbank, known for its model of credit standardized " easyCredit" , belonged to the DZ Bank. The mark " easyCredit" however remained in the bosom of the DZ Bank. The Institute of transaction for the services of financial transactions regulates the financial affairs of the banks mutualists. The dwpbank AG deals with the titles of value. The DZ Bank is one of the principal owners of the dwpbank AG. Through its participation in CardProcess GMBH, it regulates the quesions of credit cards and other electronics means of payment. Lastly, power station DZ Bank is active in the relation-customers and the Strategy-Holding.
The DZ Bank has moreover the second larger collection of modern photography in Germany after that of the Deutsche Bank).

History
The DZ Bank results from fusion in 2001 of GZ-Bank (itself formed by the fusion of district banks SGZ and GZB) and of the DG Bank. Its seat is installed in Frankfurt in a 208 m height building (50 stages) conceived by the office of architects Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in 1991-1993 (it is called the skyscraper of the crowns). The branch of Berlin, invested since 2000, was built by the famous architect Frank Gehry beside the door of Brandeburg (on the place of Paris) in 1996-1999. The negotiations on a possible fusion with the other power station of banks mutualists, it much smaller bank, began again in 2006 after the departure of Dr. Brixner and were stopped in December 2006 because of indiscretions.
