The DM 600 are an evolution of model SW 1001 of EMD (series DI 500) manufactured to the the United Kingdom.
Design
They are machines of traditional diesel-electric operations, the principal alternator of 715 kw supplying four engines of traction of 157 kw suspended by the nose.
