DHC-2

The of Havilland Canada DHC-2 , so known under the name of Beaver (in French, beaver ) is small a Avion monoplane.

After the Second world war, De Havilland Canada develops this plane, adapted to the hard operating conditions of the North of the Canada. It was conceived to be simple, robust and reliable, with only one Radial engine and being able to be equipped either with wheels, or of Ski S, or of floats to be able to land on any type of ground.

It was built between 1947 and 1965 to 1657 specimens.

As from 1951, of Havilland Canada develops a plane similar, but larger, DHC-3 Otter.
